Glencore must finally stop its large-scale pollution of the region around the Antapaccay mine!

Toxic heavy metals released by the activities of Glencore’s Antapaccay mine in Peru are polluting the whole region’s air, soil and water. The Indigenous communities living around the mine are falling ill and their animals are dying, as the plants and drinking water are contaminated. Many of these people have also been driven off their land.

This cannot continue! We call on Gary Nagle and Glencore:

■ To finally stop the ongoing pollution of the entire region around the Antapaccay mine.

■ To clean up the massive accumulation of toxic waste caused by years of mining activities.

■ To respect the rights of the Indigenous communities and provide compensation for damages suffered.
